Edwards gets BTCC chance at Snetterton

Jade Edwards got her first taste of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship today, setting an impressive pace in the Motorbase Performance Ford Focus RS during an exclusive test day at Snetterton circuit.

The current Clio Cup driver caught the eye of team owner, David Bartrum, at the start of 2019 who offered her the opportunity to join the Kent-based team on an exclusive test day as a reward for her hard-working ethic and professionalism.

Jackson joins Team Shredded Wheat alongside Chilton

Team Shredded Wheat Racing with Gallagher has today confirmed that Tom Chilton and Ollie Jackson will champion its two-car challenge on the 2019 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship title.

Unveiling the new-look driver line-up on the official BTCC stand at the Autosport International show this morning (January 10th), Team Principal David Bartrum welcomed Motorbase-returnee Ollie Jackson back to the squad, alongside Chilton, who finished 3rd in the Championship standings with the Kent-based outfit in 2018.

Depper and Davenport complete Motorbase team

Motorbase Performance has announced that Martin Depper and BTCC newcomer Luke Davenport will be joining Mat Jackson in the Kent-based team’s three-car squad BTCC title challenge this season.

Depper joins from Eurotech Racing, where he has been a regular points-scorer over the last three seasons. Davenport, who has previously competed in the Ginetta GT Supercup, raced a Ginetta G55 in the British GT Championship last season.

Motorbase Performance confirms Snetterton return

Motorbase Performance is set to return to the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship grid for the remainder of the 2015 season with the new Mountune-powered EcoBoost engine making its race debut at Snetterton in August.

Having taken a sabbatical from the BTCC for the first half of the 2015 season to develop the recently unveiled new 2 litre mountune-powered EcoBoost engine, the Wrotham-based team is now in the final stages of preparation for its return to the grid when the BTCC reconvenes at the Norfolk track after its annual summer break.

Motorbase withdraws from BTCC

Kent-based squad Motorbase Performance will miss the first half of the 2015 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season, with Team Principal David Bartrum confirming his squad’s withdrawal from the grid in the best interest of his team and its partners.

“It is with regret that I have to announce that Motorbase will not be competing in the BTCC for the first half of this season;” said team boss Bartrum. “I and the rest of the team are obviously very disappointed.”
