Rounds 19, 20 and 21 of the 2019 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship went the way of three different Hondas on a day of thrilling action at Thruxton.
Sam Tordoff claimed pole position during today’s Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship qualifying session at Thruxton, a feat he previously achieved at the same circuit earlier this season.
Tordoff took top spot when Britain’s premier motorsport series visited Thruxton back in May, and the Yorkshireman proved that he’s fast becoming a Hampshire speedbowl specialist by repeating the trick this afternoon.
Tom Ingram, Colin Turkington and Rory Butcher claimed a win apiece as the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship blasted back into action at Snetterton today (4 August).
Jason Plato received a double penalty after the stewards judged him the guilty party in two incidents during the third of three races at Snetterton.
Plato took the lead of the race from reverse grid-winner Chris Smiley on the first lap, but was under constant pressure from a chasing pack, led by his former Subaru team mate Ash Sutton.
