Plato back in a Vauxhall as he signs for Power Maxed Racing

Eighteen years after winning his first BTCC title with Vauxhall, Jason Plato will be back behind the wheel of an Astra this season.

Plato will be joining the squad for his 21st year in the championship. The Oxford based star has won more races than any other driver in the history of the BTCC with 97 wins and has been in contention to win the title on finals day as many as 9 times out of the last 15.

Subaru targets manufacturers' title in 2019 BTCC

Subaru will stay in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship this season, with the Japanese brand targeting the manufacturers' title to compliment the drivers' crown it won with Ash Sutton in 2017.

BMR will run the team, which will again consist of two Subaru Levorgs, and be sponsored by Adrian Flux Insurance Services.

Blundell makes racing comeback in BTCC Audi

F1 and Le Mans star Mark Blundell is to make a dramatic return to racing, joining Trade Price Cars to compete in this year's Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.

In a coup for the team, owned by the award-winning Essex-based motor dealership and run by technical partners AmD Tuning, Blundell has agreed terms on a deal that will see him make his touring car debut at the wheel of an Audi S3.
