Some facts about Corrie's new home...

Coronation Street Trafford is the 5th interpretation of the nation’s favourite Street

The lot is 7.7 acres and is based in Trafford, just down the road from some famous neighbours including Manchester United and Old Trafford Cricket Ground

The replicated ‘lot’ has been upscaled in size to assist future production, Coronation Street is 2.5 feet wider allowing cars to pass with ease

Lamp posts have been pushed to the back of pavements and kerbs dropped for ease of production

The tree outside Audrey's salon is an Alnus Icana, delivered from Holland it weighs six tonnes and stands 40 feet high. It is around 25 years old and is one of the largest trees ever planted in the UK

There are over 400,000 facing bricks on the Lot, of which 144,000 were reclaimed from a derelict Salford street

Previously based in studio the ‘Underworld’ interior set will now be permanently housed within the ‘Underworld’ factory building on the lot

Streetcars has also moved in to the taxi office on the lot rather than being an interior set in studio

A total of 54,000 cobbles have been laid on the new street reclaimed from Salford and the canalside in Eccles

And there are now two windows upstairs in the Rovers Return!
