Inside Soap Awards: 2022!

Following two years as a virtual ceremony, The Inside Soap Awards are back with a bang as a physical event – to celebrate 30 years of Inside Soap magazine!

This year, along with the familiar trophies for Best Soap, Best Storyline, Best Villain and therest, soap fans are also invited to name their All-Time Icon.

Viewers are free to nominate any soap star, from any show, who has made watching TV truly special for them. So, who will be named television’s ultimate dramatic god or goddess, and take home a unique golden trophy? Could it be a Dingle or a Slater? A Mitchell or a McQueen? A Beale, a Barlow or a Battersby?

“Even in a world of battling streaming services, the soaps remain the most-watched showson TV, and their main characters the biggest stars in Britain,” says Gary Gillatt, editor ofInside Soap magazine. “To celebrate 30 glorious, ridiculous years of Inside Soap, we’reoffering our readers – the best-informed viewers there are – this chance to celebrate theabsolute best of the best. We’re looking to name TV’s ultimate drama magnet. The soapicon above all icons.”

In addition, fans can vote in 15 other categories, to reward the great and the good, the wilyand the wicked from the past year of TV.

Around 100,000 viewers vote each year in The Inside Soap Awards, and they remain, afterthree decades, the only accolades of their kind to be awarded based solely on the votes ofviewers.

Voting opens midday on today! (19th July)
