Emre Can misses out as Germany announce FIFA World Cup squad

On Tuesday the German Football Association announced their 23-man squad that will be heading to Russia picked by boss Joachim Low.

Liverpool's Emre Can was a notable absentee from the squad, however Premier League trio lkay Gundogan, Leroy Sane and Mesut Ozil go the call.

Can, who made four appearances in qualifying, has not played since suffering a back injury in March.

Borussia Dortmund's Mario Götze also failed to make the cut for the national squad, despite being the man that netted the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final.
