HIGHLIGHTS | Beth Mead stars as England beat Northern Ireland at Wembley
Beth Mead scored a sublime 14-minute hat-trick as England made it three World Cup qualifying Group wins from three courtesy of a 4-0 victory over Northern Ireland.
A combination of brave goalkeeping and the frame of the goal frustrated Sarina Wiegman’s side - and it took until after the hour for them to make the breakthrough, Mead stepping off the bench to hook home with her first touch.
Fellow substitute Beth England doubled the lead shortly afterwards, before Mead made it three when volleying home Lauren Hemp’s cross.
The Arsenal forward completed her treble after 78 minutes, sweeping home from close range to ensure the Lionesses won their first competitive fixture at Wembley Stadium in style.
