Fined £1k for taking kids out during term time

New research shows that one in five parents have lied to their child's school to keep them off.

The survey, released by by Travel Zoo and Parent Trap, also found 83 percent of teachers said missing school over the last couple of days of terms wouldn't make any difference - although it's costing parents at least £100 a day due to price rises when the school holidays start.

We meet Stuart Sutherland, a dad who took his three children out of school and refused to pay a fine. Eventually he was forced to pay £1,000.
