Could Donald Trump offer a lifeline for baby Charlie Gard?

The incredibly heartbreaking and distressing story of Charlie Gard took another twist yesterday when President Trump and Pope Francis offered their support to the terminally ill baby's parents. Take a look at the President’s tweet below:

Meanwhile, the parents of ten-month-old Charlie have appealed directly to Theresa May to help save their terminally ill son.

After their court battle, the British doctors and judges refused to let Charlie be taken to the US for treatment for encephalomyopathy mitochondrial DNA depletion syndrome (MDDS), a condition causes progressive muscle weakness and brain damage.

This morning we spoke to Art Estopinan, the father of a six-year-old boy who had the same experimental treatment being offered to Charlie.

Art told us about the significant progress his son has made since the treatment and said there's still hope for baby Charlie.
