Good Morning Britain nominated for prestigious Golden Nymph Award

Good Morning Britain has been nominated for a prestigious Golden Nymph Award, at the 59th Monte-Carlo Television Festival for its coverage of an alleged attack at Westminster.

On GMB’s nomination as one of the four contenders for the ‘Live Breaking News Category’ for our coverage, GMB Editor Neil Thompson said, “Good Morning Britain is now being routinely recognised by the very best of the UK's media awards, so it's thrilling that this acclaim is now channelled onto an international stage too, especially one as prestigious as the Golden Nymph Awards.”

Across six news and fiction categories, 28 programmes from 17 countries are officially selected to compete for this outstanding recognition. The laureates will be announced at the Red Carpet event on the final evening of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, taking place from 14th to 18th June 2019.

Laurent Puons, CEO of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival comments: "We are delighted to celebrate so many strong nominees from all parts of the world in this year’s Golden Nymph Awards. I know that our renowned jury members are very much looking forward to convening in Monaco to select the ultimate winners. The quality, diversity and internationality of the official selection this year highlights the competition’s position as one of the most influential in the world of international television production.”

Now in its 59th year, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival celebrates the very best of television.
