Could flossing actually be bad for your health?

Dentists have always told us to floss but new research has shown that it could be a waste of time - and even possibly bad for your gum health.

Current guidelines say we need to take that extra step in our oral hygiene routine to prevent cavities and plaque build-up but such recommendations have now been removed from official health guidelines in the US.

So, should we floss, or not? We speak to 'singing dentist' Dr Milad Shadrooh, who says his main concern is making sure people know the importance of interdental cleaning and that there's different ways to do it.
