Waiting to hear about primary school places?
Today more than 600,000 children in England are set to receive their primary places for September. For many parents it's a nail-biting wait, particularly as in 2014 two out of five children missed out on their first choice primary school while hundreds of pupils were not allocated places at all.
This year it's predicted that more than 20,000 youngsters could miss out on all of the schools listed on their application form. In 2014 88% of families got their first choice primary with 95.7% getting one of their top three preferred schools.
