Prosthetic legs give Tara a new lease of life

Tara the beagle cross has got a new lease of life after being fitted with two prosthetic legs thanks to a British animal charity. She was rescued from Romania after being poisoned in the grounds of a hospital and developing gangrene by a doctor at the hospital.

A Romanian vet fought to save her life and part of her legs and she was then transported to the UK where she has been cared for by Kelly Hare at Safe Rescue for Dogs.

Kelly and her sister raised the £3,000 needed for the prosthetic which were made for her in the US. Kelly took her in and now says she's too fond of Tara to re-home her.
