The headteacher who gives his pupils guns and knives
The worst thing that's happened is a cut on a finger from a knife - and that's just part of life
It should be a health and safety nightmare - a school where children regularly have access to guns and knives, spend their afternoons lighting fires, chopping wood and riding quad bikes.
But headteacher Mike Fairclough is adamant that this teaching style is working, and their academic results support this. He's even written a book to help other schools to do the same.
He joins us on the sofa to explain why he believes it's important to teach children such life skills, even if it means giving them access to potentially dangerous weapons.
