Do you have a fear of flying? Would you desperately like to go on holiday, visit relatives or make an important trip, but can’t face it because it involves flying somewhere.
Well you are not alone, a GMB/ One Poll survey of 5000 people have found that 1 in 4 people have a flying phobia, with nearly half NOT getting on a plane or booking a flight because of it. If this sounds familiar, then this opportunity may be for you.
Good Morning Britain will be following a group of 100 people as they take part in a Fearless Flyer course, and seek to overcome their fears.
Joining them will be GMB Charlotte Hawkins who has a fear of flying, alongside former flying phobic Joe Pasquale, and Dr Hilary Jones who will be there to offer support along with a team from Easyjet’s Fearless flying course.
The ground course will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday 14th March at a hotel near London’s Gatwick airport. Then early the following morning at 8am on Wednesday 15th March the 100 people will join some famous faces, as they take an hour flight over the skies of Britain to put all they have learnt to the test.
This course has been set up so that Good Morning Britain can film and follow some of the passengers. So if you don’t want to be on television or be featured in the back of shot, please DO NOT signup.
If you would like to tell us more about your phobia and why you want to overcome it, then email us at firstname.lastname@example.org using the title Flying Phobia in the title. We really want to hear your stories about how your phobia started and what you would do if you could get on the plane. Please don’t forget to include your name and daytime contact details.
