Pledge your time and help someone lonely with 1 Million Minutes

Matt Goss sings the Elvis Presley classic ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight?’ to support our #1MillionMinutes campaign.

Pledging your time can be as little as committing 60 minutes only to 2 hours a week, or 3 hours a month. Scroll down and sign up to the opportunity you want with the charity you want to volunteer with.

1 Million Minutes is our winter campaign to help raise awareness of loneliness in the UK through volunteering. So give the gift of time this Christmas. Pledge as little as 60 minutes of your time to help someone who is lonely with our 1 Million Minutes campaign.

This year our campaign is focusing on volunteering your time to help someone who is lonely through loss. Whether it's bereavement, separation, dementia, ill health or disability, we just want to help end loneliness with your help.

GMB have teamed up with six charities who all work with people who are lonely. Alzheimer's society, Grief Encounter, The Not Forgotten, The Silver Line, Re-engage (formerly Contact the Elderly) and the Princes Trust.

All you need to do is hit our pledge button below and tell us how much time you have to commit, then scroll down and sign up to the charity you want to volunteer with.

Are you a teen unhappy at how much your parents post about you online, or a parent who just can't stop oversharing?

Following on from the Austrian teenager who's suing her parents for images they posted of her as a baby on Facebook, we want to hear from you.

Are you a teenager who has had enough of embarrassing posts on social media by your parents? Or a parent who isn't sorry about your penchant for oversharing pictures and information about your children online?

Get in contact and tell us how you feel at with your name, contact number and 'Sharenting' in the subject line before 8pm on Monday 19th 2016.
