Extinction Rebellion protestors are attempting to bring parts of London to a standstill. Footage from the Jubilee line shows the activists climbing on a Tube train and then being confronted by angry commuters.
British Transport Police said on Twitter: "At this time we have three separate incidents involving Extinction Rebellion protest action at Stratford, Canning Town, and Shadwell.
"Arrests have already been made and officers are working quickly to resume services."
The authorities added specialist officers at Shadwell DLR station, where online footage showed a climate change protester who had glued themselves to the side of a train carriage.
In footage uploaded to the Extinction Rebellion London Twitter account, the protester explained why he glued himself to a DLR train carriage. He said: "I am doing this primarily for my grandchildren because I learned that what they're heading towards at the moment is an increase in temperature of almost three degree Centigrade."
He went on to say: "Now that is death and suffering on an enormous scale, loss of food supplies. I'm just here to ring an alarm bell."
