5 things we learnt on Day 8
Jacqueline and Ian smashed another Bushtucker Trial and Cliff was thrilled to tuck into some coconut flavour jelly beans. Here’s what we learnt on Day 8 in the Jungle…
1. James is a loud snorer
During James and Jacqueline’s first night in their new bedroom, Jacqueline’s dreams of a blissful night’s sleep temporarily drifted out the window as James began heavily snoring.
Luckily for Jacqueline however, she came up with a clever technique that disrupted the snoring and sent James off to sleep silently without even realising.
It turns out a simple cough was all it took - Jacqueline cleared her throat and straight away James rolled onto his other side and the snoring subsided.
If only all snores came with a setting like that!
2. Ian shouts for his mum when he’s scared
You never know how a Celeb is going to react when it comes to a Bushtucker Trial, but we think it’s safe to say that none of us predicted that Ian Wright would scream for his mum.
While taking part in the Crevice of Cruelty with Jacqueline, Ian panicked as he tried to retrieve some stars whilst swimming with water dragons. He may not have said ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ but he did call for his mum… Multiple times.
3. Jacqueline reminds Caitlyn of Kylie Jenner
As some of the girls chilled by the Creek in the afternoon sun, Caitlyn told Jacqueline how her energy and response to succeeding at the Bushtucker Trial reminded her of her youngest daughter, Kylie Jenner.
Jacqueline was thrilled with the comparison and felt really touched that Caitlyn is always there for her. Later on in the Bush Telegraph, she said: “She always looks out for me - Caitlyn. And she always notices when I’m down and she notices when I need picking up. And she’s just really, really an amazing person.”
4. Coconut is Cliff’s favourite jelly bean flavour
Following Kate and Roman’s success at the Dingo Dollar Challenge, the Celebs were thrilled to see the pair waltz back into Camp with their winnings.
Proudly displaying the little bowl of the sweets, Roman walked around Camp dishing them out to his hungry companions. Cliff was especially happy with the treat on offer as his favourite flavour jelly bean (coconut) was included.
5. Ian and Andrew wear their hearts on their sleeves
Despite the crossed wires that led to a bit of an argument between Ian and Andrew last night, it was lovely to see the pair resolve the issue as quickly as it began.
Within seconds of their disagreement ending, Andrew headed straight over to Ian to clear the air, say he was sorry and give him a big hug. Ian offered an apology back and the pair then properly hugged it out - belly to belly.
Explaining the incident late in the Bush Telegraph, Andrew said: “Me and Ian are both very similar men. We’re both really heart-on-our-sleeves, emotional men.”
