Dame Joan Collins pays an emotional tribute to her late sister Jackie
Dame Joan Collins paid tribute to her novelist sister Jackie on Loose Women, as we marked five years since her passing.
"It's really terribly sad actually, particularly seeing those clips of Jackie - she had such a wild sense of humour," she said as the panel looked back at some of her sister's most memorable moments.
"She always had a quip, she always had a joke, she was funny, quirky, clever. She was a perfect sister. This is a very sad weekend for us," she continued before telling the Loose Women why she believed she'd actually had a sign from Jackie so close to her anniversary.
"I miss Jackie because, first of all, even though we were not necessarily close physically a lot of the time – she was in LA when I was in London – we would call each other all the time and before that we'd send letters," she continued.
"Today, I think, 'Oh my God, that I must tell Jackie'. And of course, I can’t tell Jackie."
Dame Joan also opened up about her sister's secret battle with breast cancer, which even she knew nothing about at the time. "In a way I know she wouldn’t have wanted me to worry... In fact, she didn’t want anybody to know. That was the whole thing," she said.
