Kerry Katona on her engagement: I’ve been married a million and one times, now I want my happy ever after
Kerry Katona can't wait for her "happy ever after" with fiance Ryan Mahoney.
Speaking to Christine, Judi, Stacey and Carol about their engagement after Ryan got down on one knee during their holiday in Spain, Kerry said: "This has been how it should be. This has been getting to know each other, moving in, then getting engaged and getting married."
Referring to her past relationships, Kerry said that it has previously "always been about a wedding," before adding: "I don’t want a wedding, I want a marriage."
Ryan went on to explain how marriage has been "on the cards" for a while and how he spoke to Kerry's children first before proposing. "I spoke to all the kids first. I thought it was the right thing to do. They were all excited. I went to pick the ring with DJ and Heidi," he said.
"I feel like I've waited my whole life to get to this point mentally and physically. I want my happy ever after," Kerry added. "The past is the past. Just because I've been married and divorced and I've got five kids with three dads, doesn't mean I don't deserve to be happy... I'm really happy and I'm in love."
