Life Before Loose: Linda on her childhood, Birds of A Feather success and never letting fame go to her head
Linda Robson opened up about her childhood and her incredible career as she reflected on her Life Before Loose with Christine, Nadia and Jane.
She took us right the way back to March 1958, when she was born to an Irish mum and English dad in Islington. Linda shared the story of her mum's journey from Ireland to England and explained how her dad had been a wonderful father but, perhaps not the best husband, opening up about his secret double life.

From the streets of North London to the silver screen, she took us on quite the journey through British TV history as she recalled her incredible acting career, which was kick-started by her inspirational teacher, Anna Scher.
It was while studying with Scher that she met the likes of Martin Kemp (who had a crush on our Linda) and her friendship with fellow North London lass Pauline Quirke flourished.
Little did they know, their friendship would provide the basis for an amazing acting partnership and eventually make them household names in Birds of A Feather with Lesley Joseph.

Through it all, our Linda has always remained remarkably grounded and continues to put her family first - even at the expense of her career. "I'm not curing cancer or anything," she told the panel as they called for her to be made a Dame for her services to acting and her charity work.
We think Dame Linda Robson has a nice ring to it, mind you.
