Nadia and Mark's daughter sends an emotional message as they open up about their homeschooling journey

Nadia and husband Mark were left feeling emotional when they were surprised with a message from daughter Maddie thanking them for home educating her.

Maddie started off by thanking her parents for "sacrificing so much", before adding that it has made her a better person.

"It's helped me discover what I want to do with my life. It's one of the best things you've ever done for me," she said.

Nadia and Mark, who have released a new book about their experiences of homeschooling, said that they were initially "petrified" about home education, but they soon found that "it's a huge community of people who are committed to just a different way."

Nadia added: "We always say, we’re not anti-school. This isn’t about saying to everyone you should home school, but for some people whose children are really unhappy in school, it’s a great thing to know that there is an option."
