Paul Sinha: The Chase won't fire me - I'll quit if Parkinson's slows me down
The Chase's Paul Sinha opened up about his battle with Parkinson's disease by telling Charlene, Judi, Jane and Gloria that he won't let the "disease dictate his life."
Known as The Sinnerman on the ITV game show, Paul explained that he will decide when it's time for him to step down from the show.
"I don’t know what my future is. I don’t know the time scale, I don’t know when I’m going to start deteriorating. I do know that when I stop answering questions at speed, The Chase won’t fire me, I’ll say, 'it’s been a lovely journey. You’ve treated me very well and I’ll see you later'. But right now, I’m on fire when it comes to general knowledge. I won’t let the disease dictate how I live my life," he said.
Sharing some encouraging words, Paul added: "Positivity increases your chances of wellbeing and I don’t have the option of being miserable about the whole thing. I’ve got Parkinson’s disease, I’m always going to have Parkinson’s disease so I’ve got to deal with this the best I can. The best I can is to enjoy life and prove that life is there for living."
