Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sign 'multi million dollar' TV deal with Netflix

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have signed a deal with Netflix.

The Duke and Duchess are set to make programmes in their latest roles since leaving the Royal Family.

ITV News Royal Editor Chris Ship said: "The deal is reportedly worth tens of millions of pounds. Whilst they won’t give us the details of exactly how much this deal is for, it gives Harry the financial independence that he spoke about when they announced they wanted to leave the Royal Family."

It is thought that the couple will make documentaries, films and children’s shows for the streaming service.

But could we see the couple in front of the camera?

Royal correspondent Roya Nikkah told Lorraine: "First and foremost, most of the programming they create will not be about them. We’re told they’ve got an environmental documentary in the pipeline, there’s also an animated series about empowering women which is Meghan’s big thing."

"While Meghan has said and made it clear that she’s not going back to acting, I think there will be an expectation from viewers and Netflix to have some sort of on-camera involvement," she added.
