Pat Rogers is one of our Woman of the Year finalists. She was nominated by her friend Sarah Flanagan for her "inspirational work with young people, helping them understand the implications and consequences of drunken or violent actions", following the death of her son.
If it saves one person's life, it would be worth it. But we know that the message is so powerful it's changing the way young people think.
– Pat Rogers
Adam was killed during a night out with friends, after intervening when a fight broke out in Blackburn town centre. Pat vowed that her beloved son's death wouldn't be in vain, and has worked tirelessly to set up the Every Action Has Consequences charity, which educates people (especially under 25s) on the effects of alcohol and the serious consequences of violent action.
