Cindy Smulders on her daughter's FND diagnosis

Olympic hopeful Georgia Carmichael, was left paralysed from the waist down and unable to speak after a bump on the head caused a seizure. Originally told by doctors that she was experiencing symptoms of concussion, the teenager was later diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). Now in recovery, Georgia is using physical therapy to regain control of her limbs and speech.
