Boris Johnson ended up getting a lot more attention that he bargained for today after getting stuck on a zipwire over a park in east London.
The Mayor of London tried out a 45-metre high, 320-metre long wire at the London Live event in Victoria Park, where the London Olympics are being shown on big screens.
But he was left hanging for several minutes as the wire lost momentum and got stuck over a crowd of people.
As onlookers took photos on their mobile phones, he joked:
This is great fun but it needs to go faster... Get me a rope, get me a ladder... I think the brakes got stuck
If any other politician anywhere in the world was stuck on a zipwire it would be a disaster. For Boris, it's an absolute triumph.
