Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping reappeared on Saturday and attended an exhibition at China Agricultural University marking the National Science Popularization Day.

The 59-year-old made a speech promoting healthy eating and organic food.

Students who saw him today told me he looked fit and well as he chatted and shook hands with onlookers.

One student said: "We are glad to see he is fine...he shook hands with all the teachers and students."

The Chinese Vice President had been 'missing' for almost two weeks without an official explanation amid rumours about his health.
