The Attorney General is expected to confirm there will be new inquests for those who died at Hillsborough.

He has questions in the Commons this lunchtime and then will release a written ministerial statement.

My understanding is that it would be a written statement if he was going to apply for new inquests.

If it was going to be bad news for the families then he would have made a full statement in person. So it looks like the families will receive the news they have been waiting for.

Some of them are in Parliament today to give evidence to the Home Affairs Select Committee so it is fitting that they will be in Westminster when the Attorney puts out his statement.
