The last 24 hours have seen Phillip Schofield abseil down the ITV studios, present the weather and eat fish eyes as part of a Bushtucker Trial.

But now the presenter can finally get some much-needed sleep after completing his mammoth presenting stint for ITV's Text Santa appeal.

Phillip wound up the challenge the same way he started, by presenting This Morning alongside Amanda Holden.

As he reached the end the team counted down the last 10 seconds and cheered before he left the studio with his wife Steph, who stayed with him throughout.

The 52-year-old told viewers it had been "great fun" after initially worrying about how he could stay awake.

He admitted he had "drunk lots of tea" but eaten little - apart from these fish eyes as he met up with former I'm A Celebrity contestants.

His next challenge on the official Text Santa day on December 19, which he exclusively revealed to ITV, would be climbing The Shard - the tallest building in Europe.
