Northern Ireland, southern Scotland, and much of central and southern England will have a dry afternoon with some sunshine.

Elsewhere however, there'll be more in the way of cloud giving some showery bursts of rain, which will fall as sleet or wet snow in places, especially over the hills.

It will feel chilly everywhere thanks to a northerly breeze, which will be fresh to strong and rather gusty in the west. Temperatures will peak at just 5C (41F).
