Snow probably wasn't what these cannabis growers thought would lead to their capture.
But it proved to be their downfall as heat from lamps used to grow the drug melted the snow on their roof, bringing police to their door.
Dutch police tweeted this picture of the property in Haarlem showing the roof completely snow-free while the surrounding houses were covered.
The caption read: "Look in your district to your rooftops. No snow? Possible #cannabis."
A week before, police used the same technique to raid a cannabis farm in the city of Zutphen where they found 88 plants growing in a bedroom.
Holland, and Amsterdam in particular, is known for its tolerance use of cannabis but people are only allowed to possess it for personal use.
