Mother sent letter by friends sick of her sharing information about baby girl on Facebook

A first-time mother has told ITV News of her anger after she was sent a "nasty" letter by friends who claimed they were sick of her sharing information about her baby daughter on Facebook.
Jade Ruthven's friends decided they were "SO OVER" the 33-year-old's updates on baby Addison's progress that they sent her a strongly-worded letter calling on her to stop.
"Look we all have kids that we are besotted with - guess what - every parent thinks their child is the best. But we don't ram it down everyone else's neck!!!" the letter reads.
It goes on to say that the friends "DON'T care" that her six-month-old baby is now crawling, accusing Ms Ruthven of "p****ng a lot of people off" with her statuses and picture updates.
"Not everyone is as interested as you are about what Addy does so give us all a break," it says.
"We can't wait for you to get back to work - maybe you won't have time to be on Facebook quite so much."
But Ms Ruthven, of Perth, Australia, decided to hit back at her so-called friends by sharing the letter online in a bid to "shame them out".
Asked how she reacted when she first opened the letter, Ms Ruthven told ITV News: "I was shaking with anger. At first I was in shock I thought this must be a joke? To think a so-called friend of mine could be so heartless and gutless to not even sign who it was from."
Despite the letter's publicity, none of Ms Ruthven's friends have come forward to accept responsibility.
"The fact that I have no idea who it could possibly be which saddens me the most - I went through my whole friends list after I received the letter and I couldn’t imagine anyone on there doing this to me."
She insists the "nasty" letter has backfired as she has been inundated by messages of support from all over the world.
"To be honest this has totally backfired on the people who planned to knock me down as I have never felt so strong and loved!"
So will the letter affect the way she uses social media in the future?
"No chance! It has actually had the opposite effect - I will not bow to these bullies."
