Ed Miliband was snapped leaving Russell Brand's house last night after recording a TV interview with the comedian.

After the picture surfaced on Twitter, and some commentators suggested Miliband could be fishing for an endorsement, a Labour spokesperson said: "Ed was doing a media interview like he often does. We look forward to it being broadcast."

Brand has been a vocal opponent of voting, sparking frenzied national debate after an essay he wrote for the New Statesman which tried to persuade readers not to vote.

I have never voted. Like most people I am utterly disenchanted by politics. Like most people I regard politicians as frauds and liars.

– Russell Brand

Brand has also written a book calling for political revolution, and recently said the General Election was "irrelevant".
