Afghan parliament attack: Moment huge explosion hits captured in dramatic footage

The moment a huge blast rocked the Afghan parliament in Kabul has been captured on camera.

A Taliban fighter detonated a huge car bomb outside the parliament entrance, before six gunmen attempted to storm the building.

Video from inside the building shows the moment of the explosion before dust and smoke engulfs the building, prompting screams and panic from MPs.

All six gunmen were killed during a two-hour shootout with Afghan security forces, officials said.

At least 19 people - including women and children - were wounded, although no fatalities have been reported.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, which coincided with a vote to approve a new defence minister.
