After the hottest day of year so far with highs of 30C a very warm end to the day with temperatures not slipping far at all after dark - some places not falling much below 20C leaving us with a muggy, uncomfortable nights sleep.
Tomorrow temperatures will soar again in the the strong, hot sunshine - peaking at 35C in the south making it the hottest spell of weather for 9 years.
It'll feel exceptionally hot and humid with occasional thunderstorms possible through Scotland and north-western England. Expect it to be a little more comfortable along the coasts.
