Driver's miracle escape from 'flying' car crash

A driver miraculously escaped without injury after his car drove over a ramp and flew through the roof of a house in South Africa.

One person who was sleeping inside the house in Durban at the time was also unharmed.

Pictures from the scene showed the white car apparently propped up with its rear end having gone down through the roof of the property in the Kwamakhutha Township.

Witnesses said the car "was flying" before crashing into the house.

Emergency teams who attended said the exact cause of the incident on Thursday morning remained unknown.

The driver of the vehicle that collided with the house explained that he drove over a 'ramp' of some sort, which led him to collide with the house. ER24 paramedics arrived on scene to find that no injuries were sustained in the collision. One person was sleeping in the house was woken up by the car falling on the house.
