Pensioner fends off attacker by squeezing his testicles

An elderly woman fended off a man who attacked her - by squeezing his testicles.

The pensioner was walking her dog near a small wooded area in Stoke Orchard near Cheltenham at about 11.30am on Monday when the incident happened.

She told police a man stomped out of the wooded area shouting "get off my land" before hitting her in the mouth.

In reaction, the victim said she "immediately grabbed the man by his testicles" causing him to fall to the ground before walking away and not looking back.

Gloucestershire Police are now appealing for information about the attack, which left the woman with bruising and a small cut to her face.

Her attacker is described as white, aged between 25 and 35, around 5ft 8 tall and of slim build.

He was wearing blue jeans, a black or navy jacket, brown work boots and a navy baseball cap.

The woman said he was suntanned and spoke with a "young voice".

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: "Clearly this was an unusual method of self-defence and the attacker got more than he bargained for.

"It would have been a terrible experience for a person of any age and we would urge anyone who can help to come forward and call 101, quoting incident 143 of August 4."
