Student hit by car after cellotaping himself to friends and falling into road

A student suffered a broken leg when he fell into the path of a car after cellotaping himself to two friends by the roadside.

The three men, all in their teens, had bound themselves together by Hibbert Lane in Marple, Greater Manchester, when the sticky tape snapped.

One of the men, aged 19, fell into the road and was hit by a passing car.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene following the incident, which happened at about 3.30pm on Tuesday, and the teen was taken to hospital for treatment.

No one was arrested in connection with the accident.
