Tightrope walker suffers leg cramp during daredevil stunt nearly 300m above ground

A tightrope walker suffered a dramatic leg cramp as he completed the highest tightrope in Australia today.

Kane Petersen was lying down on the wire nearly 300m above Melbourne when he developed the cramp, but managed to get back up again and complete the daredevil stunt.

Petersen, 36, made the precarious 21-metre journey between the two peaks of the Eureka Tower.

After completing the stunt, the Australian said: "I've just lived a dream just then, so it's fantastic."

Petersen was hugged by his parents following the tightrope walk.
