BBC's Clive Myrie calls boxer Tyson Fury a 'd***head' on live TV

A BBC presenter branded world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury a "d***head" on live television.

During a discussion on the BBC News Channel about Fury, Clive Myrie looked at his watch said: "It's after the watershed - you cannot be a d***head and win Sports Personality Of The Year."

Fury has sparked outrage with his controversial views on homosexuality and women.

More than 100,000 people have signed a petition calling for the boxer's removal from the Sports Personality Of The Year shortlist.

A BBC spokesperson apologised to any viewers who were offended by Mr Myrie's language.

The corporation has so far refused to remove Fury from the 12-person shortlist, with the winner of the award set to be announced on December 20.
