French police have foiled an attack on police and the armed forces in the city of Orleans, the country's interior minister has said.
Two French men, aged 20 and 24, have been arrested in connection to the alleged plot, Bernard Cazeneuve said.
He added that they are both suspected of having been in contact with the alleged mastermind, a Frenchman now believed to be in Syria.
The arrests come a month after so-called Islamic State gunmen opened fire at a number of sites in Paris, killing 130 people - France's deadliest atrocity in decades.
Mr Cazeneuve added that ten plots had been prevented in France this year in total.
