An American student has fallen to his death while trying to scale a hotel in New York to apparently take a photo of the city's skyline.
Connor Cummings, 20, from Rockaway in New Jersey, was climbing on scaffolding in place around the Four Seasons Hotel's tower when he slipped and fell nine storeys to his death.
He and an 18-year-old friend were climbing the structure in the hope of taking a photograph of the New York skyline, according to police.
Rain began to fall while they were on the scaffolding and Mr Cummings slipped.
The 18-year-old climbed down and notified security.
He was later interviewed by police but was not charged, according to the New York Times.
Neither Mr Connor nor his friend were staying at the hotel.
