Several hundred thousand people lined the streets of Sydney for Australia's annual gay pride Mardi Gras parade.

About 300,000 people turned out to watch more than 12,000 people march with more than 175 floats at the 38th annual parade, according to local media.

The march kicked off with the 'Dykes on Bikes' group and also featured revellers dressed from head to toe in glitter and sequins.
