A 10-year-old boy has been hailed a "star" and an "inspiration" as he charts his fight against leukaemia on Facebook.

Felix Brown has earned a growing online audience for his optimistic daily posts since being diagnosed six weeks ago.

The football-mad Bournemouth fan has documented his visits by his Premier League heroes and their manager Eddie Howe on his blog, titled The Diary Of Mr Felix Brown.

Some posts share inspirational messages while others show how he has continued to be able to live life around his treatment.

Images of Felix and his family along with his latest Lego constructions are interspersed with updates on his chemotherapy and restricted eating regime.

In return he has been inundated with support from Facebook users.

Suzanne Dicker wrote: "This is amazing Felix we love reading ur posts honest and touching and clearly touching others too xx"

Steve Penney said: "Well done Felix. You're an inspiration young man."

David Cordell added: "Ok who is going to play you in the movie?"

The youngster appears to be enjoying his newfound fame having shown to be driven to increase his online audience.

He even used a photo of his bare feet to boost his figures.

"These are my size 7 feet!" he wrote. "They have Leukaemia too! If you like them please like and share - I'd love my page to get over 1000 likes, only 80 to go!"

Around 3,000 people now like Felix's page, though with his blog gaining a national profile his audience is only expected to rise.
