Friends and family gathered for the funeral of This Morning agony Denise Robertson on Wednesday.
Mourners came together at Sunderland Minster for the service, where Denise - who died on April 1 following a "short but determined" battle with cancer - married her husband Bryan.
This Morning presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were among those gathered for Denise, who passed away aged 83.
The much-loved figure had worked on the programme since 1988, but announced in February she was taking a break from the show after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Before the service Phillip and Holly paid an emotional tribute to Denise.
"She was such a kind, loving person, friend", Phillip said.
People gathered outside the church in Sunderland city centre as the start of the service approached.
Reverend Canon Sheila Bamber, conducting the service, said the church was a "very special place" for Denise.
"It did have a very special place for Denise, but it also has a very special place in the life of Sunderland, and Denise was a Sunderland and north east person through and through", Reverend Bamber said.
She continued: "Denise represented everything that is fabulous about the north east - that rooted-ness, that down-to-earth-ness and whatever was going on, 'just roll your sleeves up and get on with it'.
