Wife has six days to save her husband's life by raising money for cancer treatment

The wife of a man dying of cancer has just six days to raise £400,000 so he can receive life-saving treatment in America.

Kate Brandon, 33, faces a desperate race against time so her husband Mike to join a new clinical trial in the US which could potentially cure him of cancer.

It is the second time Kate has fought to save Mike's life in two years - as she previously successfully searched for a stem cell donor.

Mr Brandon was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in 2014.

On Mike's 30th birthday he received a transplant and the couple believed he was on the road to recovery.

However, they were given the devastating news that Mike’s leukaemia had returned and was spreading at an aggressive rate the day before Easter Friday. NHS doctors said there is little they can do.

She has released a video appealing for help to fund the treatment in the US.

She said: "I’m sure you can all imagine what it is like being faced with losing the most important person to you.

"Please help me combat what we’re facing. I know with your help we can get him to where he needs to be.

"We can't go down without a fight. You hear of miracles all the time, they are rare but they happen."
