Social media analysts from Twitter UK have charted how the conversation has developed over the course of the EU referendum campaign.
It shows that the volume of tweets has steadily increased since April, with Leave maintaining a steady advantage over Remain as the most talked about campaign.
The analysis also shows that the economy was the most talked about topic, followed by foreign relations, immigration and security.
The influence of key business figures backing the respective campaigns can also be seen. A tweet by the official Remain campaign saying that nine out of 10 economists warn Brexit will damage the economy gained just 52 retweets, compared to a tweet by Richard Branson in support of staying in the single market which attracted 507 retweets.
