Current deputy leader of the Labour party, Tom Watson is one of the front-runners to replace Jeremy Corbyn as leader.

The MP for West Bromwich East is a plausible unity candidate, bridging the divide between Corbynites and the mainstream party.

Mr Watson had a strong win in his bid to become deputy leader, and has the support of both the unions and members.

Mr Watson was a predominant figure in the fight against phone hacking and was one of the MPs to question Rupert and James Murdoch on it, gaining him support from the left of the party. The campaigner also pushed for the investigation of historic child abuse.

The Labour MP is also a keen user of social media - displayed by his Snapchats from Glastonbury as his party started to implode.
