Wales' shock success in Euro 2016 has come as such a surprise for one of their players, that he has postponed his wedding.

After defying expectations and advancing to the final four of the tournament in France, midfielder Joe Ledley has pushed back his nuptials.

The 29-year-old was due to marry Ruby May Ridgeway on Saturday, July 9, but after the team beat Belgium 3-1 in Lille on Friday they will now take on Portugal on Wednesday

He's obviously booked it a long time ago, before qualifying. These things do happen to pop up. The boys are fully focused on the task in hand and I'm sure they'll re-organise stuff.

Wales' success has also inconvenienced defender Chris Gunter who is set to miss his brother's wedding in Mexico on Thursday.

The last time Wales qualified for a major tournament was in 1958, when they reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup before being knocked out by Brazil.
